    JEREMY & KUMIKO JENKINS

JEREMY was born in California into a Methodist pastor's home, and felt the call of God to full time ministry as a high school student. After high school, he studied at Rhema Bible Training College and Domata Missions School. He felt the Lord calling him to Japan at the age of 21, while he and his family were ministering in Samoa. Jeremy moved to Japan in April, 2000, and after serving at a church in Chiba and two church plants in Osaka, he married Kumiko in 2005. Within a year of their marriage, they moved to Sendai, where they took over and pioneered Arise Sendai Church. When the Great East Japan Earthquake happened in 2011, they helped with relief work, hosted and led numerous relief teams, and were able to minister to many people, seeing the power of God work in amazing ways with many coming to Christ and experiencing miraculous healings. In 2015 they joined their network's headquarters in Tochigi. After working as part of the team, they felt led by the Lord to start WILDBRANCH in 2021, and moved to Shibuya, Tokyo in March 2022. Jeremy's desire is for Jesus' name to be lifted high and for many to be drawn to Him. He is the proud father of one daughter and two sons.

KUMIKO was born in Fukuoka and raised in Aichi for the first 10 years of her life, until her family moved to Germany for 5 years. During her time in Germany, she began to ask questions about her life and identity. Upon returning to Japan, she met Jesus through a high school friend, and felt her heart's search for the meaning of life answered in Him. Kumiko spent most of her twenties as a member of a church in England, and particularly thrived in doing outreach on the streets and loving people. She loved worship and expressing her love to Jesus in dance, and she often performed on the streets with her friends. She intended to spend the rest of her life in England and stay single, but God had a different plan! In 2008, Kumiko utilized her qualifications as a nurse in the UK and experience working in an HIV clinic to found an NPO with a group of women. Through this NPO, she was involved in counseling women suffering with post abortion trauma, as well as hosting an encouraging radio talk show to promote the value of life. Kumiko firmly believes that every life has a unique beauty and meaning in God, and it is her passion to awaken people to the reality of loving and being loved by Jesus.
